State Theater is a historic movie theater located at Ithaca in Tompkins County, New York. It is the result of a conversion project carried out in 1928 on a garage and automobile showroom to convert it to a movie palace and roadhouse. The resulting structure is Ithaca's finest movie palace, with an elaborately illuminated marquee, and a highly theatrical atmospheric interior which blend elements of the Collegiate Gothic, Moorish Revival, and Renaissance Revival styles.[2]

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.[1]
